Awareness of environmental issues is a feature of both his professional life and his membership of FIAB - the Italian Environment and Bicycle Federation, where he has been involved, among other things, in the development of the national Bicitalia cycle network, for which he is President of the Technical-Scientific Committee. He has always been passionate about finding great cycle routes.
